This is a fascinating, narrated, multi-media presentation using NASA film footage to follow the three Mars exploration rovers, Opportunity, Spirit and Phoenix Lander, as they crawl over the surface of the planet, searching and sniffing for evidence there once was water there. Phoenix found it!! The narrator, Eric Norris, fascinated from childhood at the dawn of the Space Age, made space flight and all that goes with it his hobby. He built a Mercury Capsule simulator at age 8 out of a refrigerator box and acquired a telescope at 10 to see the rings of Saturn. He has been starry-eyed ever since. As a NASA/JPL Solar Ambassador, Eric has access to the extensive film footage of the agencies, enabling him to show you here-to-fore unseen clips sent back by the rovers. He brings all the A/V equipment needed EXCEPT the Screen, which you have to provide. The R/C’s of San Jose and Almaden gave this program a score of 95! Sep. 2008 |
