The Lifeblood of the Service Ethic
The clubs in Rotary District 5170 are always looking for a few more good people. Membership is the lifeblood of any organization, and Rotary wants its clubs to be diverse and energetic groups of people who exemplify the ethic of serving their communities and the world.
In order to keep bringing in new people, with their enthusiasm and fresh perspectives, Rotary International and District 5170 have developed an extensive array of support materials. These are designed to help everyone in Rotary - "from District officials to individual club members -" in recruiting and developing new Rotarians.
Rotary International states that it is the duty of all Rotarians to bring new members into their clubs. The links at right provide many good ideas for recruiting prospective members and for integrating them into a club so that they carry on the Rotary tradition of "Service Above Self."
If you are a non-Rotarian visiting this web site and are interested in joining or attending a meeting to learn more about Rotary in your community, please go to the Membership section of the Rotary International web site, www.rotary.org. There you will find a membership interest form that can be filled out on line. When submitted, it will be forwarded to the District Membership Chair, who will arrange to have appropriate clubs contact you.
